Another photograph from the beautiful city of Boston, and in keeping with the abstract theme of late.

Boston is a beautiful place.
Unfortunately the furthest from home I will get this Summer is to Cork, where I was at the beginning of July. It was great. But I want to go back to Boston.

This shot was taken last summer on the Boston Subway, known as the T. Such a calm and relaxed place. The people there are easy going. Having come from New York City and going back there a few days later I fell in love with the place.

Not that I’m running out of images, but I am in the process of keywording all of my older photographs in Aperture, since my becoming a recent Apple convert. And so I hope to include in the blog many older photographs from the external backups.

This photograph was taken, last August in the New York Public Library‘s main reading room.

New York is a fascinating, museum-like place, filled with so many places, and artefacts that we all have come to recognise to easily from such a young age, from all media. Its such a thrilling and enjoyable place to be, and although I have been there on a few occasions I am still amazed by it, I still look at many photographs, though various photoblogs, as well as stopping to admire art made in the likeness of the Big Apple or it’s numerous memorable sights.

It is a place that I would like to spend much more time in, to get to know well. I read Gothamist, the NYC blog, occasionally and it fills my head with great information about the small things that I find so interesting, such as the cross-section diagram of what’s under the City’s streets.

I will post more NYC photographs as time goes by.

I’m off to Cork today for the weekend, my own form of Independence. Posting is on auto for the next few days. Depending on how quickly I manage to edit and the state of the internet in the hotel I may even get a shot or two from my trip to replace the once that are currently set.

This photograph was taken last Summer in New York City. A city I really love. My favourite photobloggers are from there and some of my best times have been had there. I miss my friends in the States every day and am going to try harder to write to them more often. I cannot wait to go back, and hope it won’t be too long!
